About Me

Welcome to my little space on the web! My name is Brey, I am a freshman in college, and I have an affinity for
old 90s web aesthetics. I live in the Pacific Northwest and love the beauty of my home.
I plan on pursing a career path in special needs teaching when I get my degree. Along with
my academic pursuits, I have many interests and passions.

One of my biggest passions is goth and metal music. Classic Goth rock, ethereal wave, darkwave, EBM,
,Halloween sounds, doom and sludge... gimmie it all. My favorite bands are Bauhaus, Daughters, The HU, Drab majesty
Ghost, and Lebanon Hanover. Along with those bands, I also like non-goth music like Orville Peck, Machine Girl,
and Louie Zong.

Currently I'm trying to teach myself Bass guitar. Basses are fun instruments to learn. Being apart of the
rhythm section and having to keep up the melody of the band means that you have to think in interesting
ways.
I also love art and creating works of my own. You'll get to see all my creative pursuits
in the art section after I stop having an artblock. My favorite artist is Zdzisław Beksiński.

I am nonbinary, and go by they/them pronouns. I have struggled with gender a lot throughout
my life, even when I identified as a cisgender gay person. As Claude Cahun said,
"Masculine? Feminine? It depends on the situation. Neuter is the only gender that always suits me."
